The American Society of Appraisers is the nation's major multi-disciplinary testing/certification
organization for appraisers of all fields. Both Ms. Collins and Ms. Wood have completed all the education courses offered by ASA in the field of Personal Property. These include Valuation Theory, Valuation Methodology Research and Analysis, Reporting Writing and Appraisal Practice Standards. The partners regularly attend the National ASA conferences and the Personal Property seminars held yearly. The American Society of Appraisers has a mandatory recertification program for all of its Senior members. The partners are in compliance with the requirements of that program. In 2005, Ms. Collins and Ms. Wood earned five classroom hours each for attending and passing the examination on the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice and Professional Appraisal Ethics for recertification purposes. ASA requires 100 hours of recertification every two years.
Along with the written appraisals, the partners have also conducted estate sales in the West Georgia area for the past thirty years.
Representative clients include Internal Revenue Service, Bank of America (Trust Department), Trust Company of Georgia, Bank of Troup County, attorneys, insurance adjusters, Bankruptcy trustees, estate executors and private individuals. References are available upon request.
